Warm Welcome for Keith DeGraff
Saltwater Excursions, LLC welcomes Keith Degraff to the Maritime Team!
Saltwater Excursions, LLC would like to welcome Keith DeGraff to the Saltwater Excursions team. Keith filled in on the Saltwater Addiction late August 2014 as a temporary deckhand, but this year Keith with be working with us full time. The clients loved him so much we decided to offer him full time employment.
Keith is from Long Island, New York. He studied Marine and Environmental Science at Stonybrook University where he graduated in 2012. He has spent his life working within fisheries; including commercial fisheries and fisheries research. He has been a deckhand on the east coast for years working on the cod charters. Keith has also worked for the Riverhead Foundation, a marine mammal and sea turtle rescue and rehab facility in New York.
Keith fishes enthusiastically and energetically. After working his first summer in Alaska just last year, he is ready to come back and make your trip an enjoyable one.
You will see Keith working in two capacities this year. Keith will be working on the deck of the Saltwater Addiction and captaining the Saltwater Addiction. Keith is spending this winter traveling around warmer climates, mainly the Caribbean, and taking a class to obtain his Master’s license with the United States Merchant Marines. This class is no easy task, however, with the amount of sea service time Keith has, he will breeze right through it.
Make sure you give him a warm Alaskan welcome the next time you see him.
