Re-introducing Karl Chaudhary
Many of you already know Karl Chaudhary, but let me formally introduce him.
Karl has been with the Saltwater Excursions team for 3 years. Karl will be back this year filling in as a part-time deckhand on the Saltwater Addiction. Karl has earned enough sea service time to apply for a Master’s license with the United States Merchant Mariners.
Karl grew up in Ketchikan, Alaska. Having lived in Alaska all his life, he spent most of his time exploring the waters of Southeast Alaska. Karl’s previous work experience ranges from two seasons as a guide on a zipline operation to working as a deckhand on commercial fishing vessels out of Wrangell and Juneau.
Karl holds a commercial pilot certificate in both single-engine and multi-engine airplanes. He graduated with a degree in Aviation Technology with an emphasis in professional piloting from the University of Alaska Anchorage. In Karl’s free time he has been working on obtaining his Certified Flight Instructor rating at the University of Alaska
.
Currently Karl is flying a BE 1900 for Hageland Aviation Services up in Nome, Alaska. He spends the first two weeks of every month in Nome, so more than likely you will only see Karl in the last two weeks of any given month.
The next time you see Karl make sure you give him a big Alaskan Hello!
