July 17 Fishing Report Whittier, Alaska

Since our last post we have been seeing more Coho, however, they are slow to show up. We are typically getting only 1 -2 a day at this point with several pink salmon mixed in.

Rockfish fishing have been still exceptional, limiting out on Rockfish every day.

Halibut fishing has been good, but with the stronger tides this week we have seen a decline in the size of the fish. Our largest fish since our last report was 65 pounds with several in the 25-35 range.

Tides should start decreasing on Saturday.

The water has been exceptionally calm and the humpbacks have been putting on a great show for us this week.

There is still room left in August, however, July is booked full.
