Fishing Report June 7
Fishing has been fantastic. Limits of halibut are being brought in every day with a huge variety of rockfish (yellow eye, duskies, blacks, and quills). Lots of Pacific Cod are being caught as well.
The Halibut seem to be a little larger this year with some shoulders on them for some good fighting. Don’t forget one halibut must be 29 inches or smaller this year per the regulations.
Lots of Lingcod have been caught as well, but we are unable to retain them until July 1st.
On June 6th Saltwater Excursions donated a charter to Alaska’s Healing Hearts, Alaska’s wounded warrior group. We were happy to see all of the soldiers up and moving around. Alaska welcomes you!
Weather got us on the 1st and the 7th, but the extended forecast is for blue skies and calm seas!
