How much do I tip the deckhand?
A lot have people have asked me, “what is appropriate to tip the deckhand”. The deckhand works for tips only. Your deckhand does a lot while you are enjoying yourself, baiting hooks, untangling lines, keeping the deck clean, telling bad jokes, making coffee for you etc. Most importantly, he filets your fish on the ride home.
If you feel that he did a good job for you 15% is standard. If he did a great job for you up to 20% is appropriate.
If for any reason, you feel that he did not do a good job, please inform me as soon as possible.
