Do I need a shrimp permit?
If you plan on shrimping, you must obtain a shrimping permit. In order to get a permit, you must also have a fishing license. These permits are free. Only one permit per group is required. You must get your permit prior to showing up for your charter, as they are only available at a Fish and Game Office. You can obtain them directly from Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
